 Anyone, whether a beginner or experienced researcher, and you don't need to have roots in the Lothians. The Society concentrates on (as defined by Genuki)MID, EAST and WEST Lothian and whilst lots of our members live here some don`t have family links with the area. Others have traced their roots back to Lothian but live on the other side of the world. Hopefully we can provide an interesting service for all.

When does the Society meet?

Ordinary Membership £11

Family Membership £15

Overseas additional £3

Fees are payable in £ Sterling Cheques or Money Orders to : "Lothians Family History Society" or use our 'Online' facility here >> Membership Year 1st Sept to 31 August each year

What do you get for your money?

Three newsletters a year, attendance at monthly meetings with expert speakers on a wide range of interesting subjects, workshop sessions, access to the library of research material including the IGI for Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, access to published indexes of Midlothian 1841, 1851 and 1861  censuses and to members who are willing to do research on your behalf.
