Hello All,

I'm new to Scottish Family History and to The Lothians FHS.  My one Scottish great-grandparent (the others are all English) was Mary Jane THOMSON born 9 Jan 1665 in Lockerbie, daughter of Thomas THOMSON, a Baker, and Jane BELL (who married in Dryfesdale in 1862.)

Thomas THOMSON was born in Musselburgh in about 1840, son of William THOMSON and Mary PAT(T)ERSON, who married on 1 Feb 1839.  (William died before his son, Thomas's marriage.)

If anyone can give me more information about this family, I'd be thrilled - especially if you are a relative!

As I live in Sussex, I'm afraid I can't just pop in to look at the records.
