John Morison was born 18 Feb 1808 Edinburgh, he has a twin brother Walter.

His parents were the Rev Walter Morison and Margaret Sutherland.

I have census records for 1841 1851 for him and wife and children.  I found his wife Eliza and children on 1861 census but not John.  John was a customs officer and may have been elsewhere on duty.  I know that his widowed mother and his brother William with 2 brothers departed to America after the death of his father. Did he go to America also?

Does anyone have more information on that or of his marriage to Elizabeth?
