James Cuthill married 27 Jun 1821 at Borthwick, Midlothian; died at Catcune Milles, Borthwick in 1846. However, there is nothing in the Parish registers to indicate anything about James' parents or place of birth. I read in the census' that James is not of the parish, but none give an idea about where he was born?

Are there any other lines of enquiry that can assist in establishing where James was born?
